‘Greek Culinary Tradition’ sets out to conquer the world

In 2004 the book was awarded with the highest prize in the category “Best Mediterranean Cookbook in Greek” at the international competition “Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2004”, which took place in Sweden.

photo This edition was embraced with great enthusiasm by the book reading public and the critics because it presented, perhaps for the first time, a whole new aspect of the Greek culinary tradition; the easily recognizable Greek dishes that can be found in every tourist tavern all over Greece are not a matter of discussion for this gastronomy book.

The editor’s and authors’ true concern was to present the authentic Greek culinary tradition in a simple manner, by revealing the traditional gastronomic elements which exist in different regions around Greece

These new books refer to the German, English and Spanish – speaking gastronomy friends in order to show them the endless possibilities that Greek traditional cuisine has to offer. In these books a reader can find traditional recipes coming from nine different regions in Greece which are presented with a modern touch, so that anyone can include them in their daily diet and so benefit from the advantages of the Mediterranean nutrition.
