Exotic Flavours from Thailand

photo Once again we had the pleasure to welcome teachers from the Suan Dusit International Culinary School of Bangkok, who presented some of the special traditional recipes from their country.

photo During the two – day seminar (Tuesday 15/5 & Friday 18/5) which was organized in collaboration with the Royal Embassy of Thailand in Athens, our students watched carving techniques and the preparation of traditional Thailand recipes from the professors – chefs Dr. Sangaroon Chuawongboon & Dr. Amaraporn Vongfak who teach at the university of Bangkok.

photo At the seminar the students watched carving techniques on several fruits and vegetables which were transformed to beautiful flowers through delicate movements. Also they saw the preparation of traditional recipes step by step. Some of the recipes prepared at the seminar were ‘Pad Thai – Thai Stir – fried Noodles’ and ‘Fish Cakes – Tod Man Plagrai’.

photo Our guests showed their passion for teaching when they allowed our students to participate in the process by repeating the carving techniques and cooking the recipes which were demonstrated by the professors of the Bangkok University.

photo We would like to thank the Royal Embassy of Thailand for their support.
