Famous chef Michel Roux presented ‘the eggs’ to the greek public
The presentation of the greek edition of the book ‘the eggs’ of the awarded chef Michel Roux, which is released by Les Livres du Tourisme publications took place on Thursday, May the 3rd at the bookstore Ianos. The book which initiates the new gastronomic series titled ‘The Famous Chefs of the World’, was introduced by Mrs Eleni Psichouli, journalist at Gastronomos – Kathimerini and Mr Euthymios Kalosakas , who redacted the greek edition.
Showing his excellent sense of humor the author of the book referred to the most important moments of his life and explained how he fell in love with gastronomy and decided to dedicate his life to it. It was indeed very impressive that a chef who has been awarded with 3 Michelin stars for 21 years in a row, would engage with the most humble element and would present exceptional recipes containing eggs.
Showing his excellent sense of humor Mr Roux explained that he decided to write a book about eggs because he considers them to be the most misconceived nutritional element; although it is common knowledge that the absence of eggs would make it impossible for most recipes to be prepared, this basic ingredient is not highly appreciated by chefs. As he said books have been written about lobster and caviar but no one has ever considered writing a book about egg’.
The presentation was attended by journalists and gastronomy experts who wanted to meet the famous chef personally. They all had the chance to pose questions concerning ‘the eggs’ and other issues as well …
When the presentation was over all the guests had their books singed by Mr. Michel Roux so that they would have a beautiful memory of their encounter with one of the most famous chefs in the world.
