LE MONDE “travelled” in Santorini for the “2013,Year of Gastronomy in Santorini”
he gastronomic seminar entitled Local Products-International Gastronomic Delight, which took place on Friday, May 17th, turned out to be a great success.
The event was held at the Markezini’s Mansion, in a beautifully renovated place, with the presence of representatives from several organizations of the island such as the Municipality of Thira, the Hotel Association of Santorini, the Restaurant Association of Santorini, many professionals of the catering field, with many graduates of LE MONDE among them.
Mr. Kalosakas Makis and Mr. Panagoulis Achilleas, chefs and teachers at LE MONDE Institute, as well as Mrs. Tzitzi Maria, oenologist- chemistry teacher, presented new ways of highlighting the local products and combining them with the lovely Santorini wines.
Here are some of the recipes that were presented:
Mullet fillets with smoked “volcanic” fava beans and caper foam
Sweet chocolate bar with eggplant spoon sweet and vinsanto sorbet with lemonbalm
