It came first among other public and private Institutes that participated in the 5th International Gastronomy Festival, organized by the Chefs’ Club of Athens, within the framework of the EXPRO 2007 exhibition (26 – 28 February 2007).

LE MONDE was emerged the no 1 Institute and won the cup for gathering the most gold awards in several categories. The students won 20 awards in total: 9 gold, 7 silver, 2 bronze and 2 honorary distinctions in the 23 different categories that they participated. The dishes stood out for their technical difficulty and aesthetic uniqueness and could worthily represent Greece in any gastronomy contest abroad, like that time when LE MONDE participated in the Culinary Olympics.

It is noteworthy that many graduates of LE MONDE Institute won even more gold medals competing now as professionals. Students had the opportunity to gain valuable experience through the competition with other contestants.
