1st prize at the Aperitif à la Française Contest.

White top hats … for prizes! Our students participated and won the First Prize in the Culinary Contest, which was held within the framework of the Aperitif a la Française event, under the aegis of the French Embassy in Athens.

The most famous French custom in the world was held in the genteel surroundings of Villa France, in Pasalimani, on Thursday, June 2, 2005. The guests of the French Ambassador Mr. Bruno Dele, gathered around the original flavors of French products.

It was a night full of surprises! The culinary Contest for the apprentice chef-magicians, definitely stood out among others. Students competed in the creation of an “Aperitif a la Française” buffet, with imaginative creations based on French products that had been given to them especially for this occasion. They rightfully won the first place, since they presented a buffet full of delicious finger foods that were true handiworks! The committee of the event, the French ambassador and many other participants had the opportunity to taste the delicious creations. Shortly after 11, they announced the results that highlighted LE MONDE Institute of Hotel & Tourism Studies as the great winner.

We want to thank Habitat Stores for the generous sponsorship of the utensils used for the purposes of that night.
